For the second year running a Downsman team has lost in the Final of the Stewart Oxley Cup to a team from Worthing Pavilion. The team that played in the final comprised Colin Rose, Dave Foster, Simon Schofield and David Purcell. At one stage the scores were level at 16 each but Worthing finally came out winners 26-18.
