39 members of the club travelled to Warners on the Isle of Wight in January for our annual break/bowls competition.

A great time was had by all and a huge thanks are due to Margaret Payne who ensured everything went smoothly, despite several hiccups.

There were 29 teams taking part in the bowls competition, including 8 from the Downsman and we did ok, seeing 3 teams reaching the quarter finals, 2 progressing to the semis and 1 making the final.  Unfortunately, we didn’t quite win, but congratulations to Trevor, Shirley, Jack and Jo for giving it a good go.
